John has decades of experience building complex information management systems and is an inventor on six data management patents. Before joining LaunchPoint, John worked as the lead technologist of the Worldwide Information Management (IM) Services practice for Hewlett-Packard, where he was responsible for defining HP’s technology strategy, reference architectures, and methodologies for business intelligence and information management services. John previously worked as CTO for Knightsbridge Solutions, a leading BI consultancy, which HP acquired in 2006. There he served as chief architect on enterprise data integration, data warehousing, and business intelligence implementations for Fortune 200 financial services, healthcare, retail, and high tech industries. Previously he served as Principal Engineer and Data Warehouse Architect at, where he created high-performance scalable e-commerce business intelligence systems including Amazon’s enterprise data warehouse and analytic services. In 1995, John co-founded Leep Technology, a developer of data mining, customer relationship management, and data warehouse software that was acquired by in 1999. John is a frequent presenter at business intelligence and data warehousing conferences.

As Senior Vice President, Sales, Tim leverages a successful track record of 25 years in sales and business development leadership and revenue growth in the healthcare services and technology industry. Tim leads business development, sales training, and account development functions at Discovery to win new opportunities and expand opportunities at current clients in the ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare marketplace. Prior to LaunchPoint, Tim held various leadership roles in the healthcare service and technology industries during the early stage or high growth phases of several entrepreneurial businesses, now subsidiaries or significant contributors to Xerox, Multiplan, SCIO Health Analytics, and Equian. Tim was also founder and CEO of My Medical Control, LLC, a technology-enabled medical expense pricing comparison service for consumers with high deductible health plans, prior to its acquisition in 2007. Tim presently serves as an advisor and participant for the highly rated School of Entrepreneurship at The University of Dayton, of which Tim is a proud alumnus.

David Chandler - Discovery Health Partners

David brings to LaunchPoint over 20 years of experience in progressive financial leadership roles at technology companies. Most recently, Dave was Chief Financial Officer of CareXtend, a healthcare wellness online marketplace. Prior to CareXtend, he was Chief Financial Officer for an IT services company, Fruition Partners, the largest implementation partner for ServiceNow SaaS applications. Prior to Fruition Partners, Dave led all Finance & Operations for Razorfish – Americas, a $400M digital marketing firm. Dave also held leadership roles, including Corporate Controller and Senior Director of Financial Planning at Diamond Technology Partners, a digital strategy consulting firm throughout its rapid organic growth, an IPO and four acquisitions. Dave attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut and received his Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.

David Grice - Discovery Health Partners

David brings significant sales leadership experience from leading companies including HP, Knightsbridge, and Ernst & Young, where he successfully built high growth, profitable, and well-operating teams. At HP, David’s sales leadership resulted in his appointment to lead the HP Global Healthcare BI Solutions Practice. David joined HP from Knightsbridge, where he distinguished himself as the highest producer in company history. David worked to diversify Knightsbridge’s practice focus to include all aspects of the healthcare value chain including provider, payer, pharmaceutical, medical products, and health services enterprises. He also was a key player in expanding the practice’s functional experience into key business areas, including clinical management, supply chain management, sales and marketing improvement, and R&D. Before then, David specialized in healthcare emerging technologies and provider data integration at Ernst & Young, where he also served as the regional expert for the firm’s hospital data integration practice.

Elizabeth Longo - Discovery Health Partners

Liz is an established cost containment attorney with nearly 20 years of business accomplishments and improved results. Before joining Discovery Health Partners, Liz was a senior attorney with the law firm of Coghlan Kukankos LLC, where she had broad responsibility for administration, management and development of the firm, including hiring and training as well as benefits compensation and incentive plan design. During that time, Liz earned extensive experience in subrogation and coordination of benefits and reimbursement, and developed and grew subrogation programs for numerous self-funded and insured health plans. Liz has handled thousands of subrogation cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, specific risk and legal malpractice with significant positive outcomes. Her extensive knowledge and hands-on approach to implementing subrogation programs has resulted in the recovery of millions of dollars annually for plans she has represented. Liz has litigated noteworthy employment and benefits cases in federal district courts and state courts throughout the country as well as complex commercial litigation cases involving employment and trade secret misappropriation and intellectual property issues. She has provided clients with comprehensive representation in all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, drafting motions, protective orders, temporary restraining orders, briefs and appeals argued at both the state and federal levels. Liz is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois. Her federal practice admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations.

Amy Mosser - Discovery Health Partners

A healthcare industry veteran with exceptional operations experience, Amy oversees operations, client advocacy, legal services, IT and product development at LaunchPoint and its divisions, Discovery Health Partners and Ajilitee. Since 2009, Mosser has served as COO with the for-profit subsidiary of the American Hospital Association, Health Forum. During this time, she led strategic development of healthcare marketing and information solutions expanding product offerings to an audience of technology, professional services, insurance, and other health industry suppliers. Concurrently, she served as Vice President, Licensing Development. In addition, Mosser has held operating and executive leadership roles including CEO of FR&R (now part of Marcum LLP), a top-20 professional services firm providing accounting, consulting and tax services; COO of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the information source for physician credentials and standards; and SVP and GM of Solucient (now part of Truven Health Analytics), a healthcare analytics firm.



Terrence Ryan - Discovery Health Partners

Terrence Ryan

Terrence is chairman of LaunchPoint, a company he co-founded to specialize in building information-centric businesses that leverage emerging technologies such as cloud computing and advances in information management and analytic disciplines. LaunchPoint’s two divisions are Discovery Health Partners, a healthcare cost containment specialist, and Ajilitee, a consulting firm with competencies in business intelligence, information management, agile analytic solutions, and cloud enablement. Before LaunchPoint, Terrence led the Worldwide Information Management practice for Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he was responsible for building HP’s global presence for information management services. In this capacity, he led strategy, portfolio development, and programs for consulting services in business intelligence, content management, data management and unified information management. Terrence joined HP in late 2006 when HP acquired Knightsbridge, the leading business intelligence consultancy in the U.S. that he co-founded. Prior to Knightsbridge, Terrence held various leadership roles at Lante, Technology Solutions Company and American Management Systems. Terrence’s consultative management background, significant domestic and international leadership experiences, and executive oversight in many capacities have directly impacted many companies’ year-over-year growth and success over the last 20 years. This includes service on multiple Boards of Directors for corporations, universities, and not-for-profits.

Terri Kline - Discovery Health Partners

Terri Kline

Terri is a Director of Presbyterian Health Plan and an Advisor to NFANT and Medivo. Previously, she served as a Director and Chairman of the Board for Availity, Medecision, and Innovista Health Solutions. Kline was also the Senior Vice President & Chief Health Care Management Officer of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), a Senior Vice President of HealthSouth, the CEO of CHA Health (a University of Kentucky Health System Health Plan), the CEO of United Healthcare of Georgia, and the Regional Vice President of Aetna Health Plans. Her experience also includes executive roles with OnCare, PARTNERS National Health Plans, and the Voluntary Hospitals of America. She received a BA in Biology from Kalamazoo College and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan.

Alex Mason - Discovery Health Partners

Alex Mason is a Managing Director at Carrick Capital Partners and is a member of the Carrick founding team. Prior to Carrick, Mr. Mason was a vice president at Accel-KKR, a technology buyout investment firm. Prior to Accel-KKR, Mr. Mason worked at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a private equity and public equity investment firm focused on growth investments. While at TCV, Mr. Mason was involved in minority and majority investments in financial services, enterprise services and software, Internet, and education services. Preceding his investment career, Mr. Mason worked at Morgan Stanley, in the firm’s Investment Banking Technology Group as well as Morgan Stanley Technology Ventures. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Mason worked in the Investment Banking Technology Group at Piper Jaffray. Mr. Mason graduated from the Harvard Business School with First Year Honors. Mr. Mason is also a graduate of the University of Washington, where he received his B.S. with Honors in Economics and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

Steve Unterberger is the Managing Director, Operations and Portfolio Committee chair at Carrick Capital Partners. Prior to joining Carrick, Mr. Unterberger served in several roles for Exult, Inc., a provider of business services related to human resources and business process outsourcing, from February 1999 to October 2004. While there, he was the Business Model Architecture President from June 2003 until it was acquired by Hewitt Associates, Inc. in October 2004. Before Exult, Mr. Unterberger was a US Executive Vice President of SHL Systemhouse, a $2 Billon IT Outsourcer acquired by MCI in 1995. He was also a Senior Manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Mr. Unterberger holds a degree in economics from The University of Pennsylvania.

Mark Luck Olson is a healthcare strategist and executive advisor with deep expertise across the healthcare services landscape. He brings to LaunchPoint 25 years of experience driving growth agendas with senior leaders and a personal passion to help healthcare enterprises create a consumer-centric, value-driven healthcare market. Mark is currently President of Global Consulting Services for Decision Resources Group (DRG), a 900-person consultancy serving the healthcare and financial services industries. Prior to joining DRG, Mark founded ChapterHouse, a consulting firm providing strategy and growth advisory services to the healthcare marketplace. When ChapterHouse was acquired by Oliver Wyman & Associates, Mark became a Partner in the Health & Life Sciences division of this healthcare consultancy. Earlier in his career, Mark was a Director at Baxter Healthcare, where he initially met Paul Vosters and Terry Ryan, who were working together on a global data warehouse. Mark is also a member of the Board of Directors of Rolf Jensen & Associates, a global consulting firm. Mark holds a Masters of Business Administration in Corporate Strategy and Finance from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an undergraduate degree in Management from MIT.

Paul Vosters - Discovery Health Partners

Prior to founding LaunchPoint, Paul led HP’s Information Management Services practice for Health & Life Sciences. In this capacity, he provided leadership oversight for the strategic and technical solutions for healthcare payers, providers, biopharmaceuticals, medical device manufacturers, and health services companies, leading to double-digit growth for the practice. His teams were known for applying innovative solutions to client problems, winning awards for excellence and business impact. Prior to HP, Paul led the Health & Life Sciences practice at Knightsbridge Solutions, where he built the practice to become the company’s largest revenue and profit contributor. Successful client initiatives include reducing operational costs by 40% for a healthcare decision support solution provider, and leading the charge to develop the nation’s first statewide surveillance system to detect bioterrorism and infectious outbreaks for the State of North Carolina. Before then, Paul held key business and technology posts at Baxter Healthcare. His varied roles included leading the company’s global data warehousing initiative as Global Architect; consolidating 128 data centers into a single location in Europe; and running Baxter’s global supply chain, decreasing inventory by 10% while tripling churn. His 20+ years of leadership and project management includes ERP implementations, data management architecture, and global data warehousing solutions with windows to supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, finance, and customer service. Paul also worked for international companies in the manufacturing and retail industries while living in Belgium, Norway, Spain and Germany.
