To seize a lucrative growth opportunity in a market changed by thinned corporate budgets and looming health reform, Discovery Health Partners launched in 2008 to improve upon current methods in health care cost recovery. Its intelligent cost containment platform helps health insurers and self-funded organizations discover untapped savings and recover more dollars through information-driven solutions and smarter processes.
A swift start with minimal cost was imperative, as was the ability to implement a technology platform that would support high volume data analytics, business process automation and a call center. Two years later, Discovery Health Partners is able to scale up to process millions of claims (with the ability to grow to handle hundreds of millions of claims when needed) as well as scale down, paying the cloud vendors only for what is used.
